17 fresh cases of swine flu reported in Nepal

At least 17 fresh cases of swine flu have been reported in Nepal where the deadly disease has claimed two lives, officials said today.
17 new cases of swine flu were confirmed in Chitwan district where 10 cases were reported earlier, bringing the total number of infected people in the district to 27, said Ram KC, an official at the Public Health Office.
At least 42 people have already been infected with it since the beginning of winter last year.
The samples of 162 people were sent to the central health laboratory here for tests and 27 were found infected, he said.
Similarly, the concerned body has alerted the people to be careful about the possible spread of the disease.
So far two people have died of the deadly virus in the country, he said.
