Saddam Gaji and Bablu Gaji, both in their early 20s, were arrested yesterday after the victim's family lodged an FIR against them on Monday, SP South 24 districts Praveen Kumar Tripathy said.
"The girl have identified them and the both of them have admitted their crime," Tripathy told reporters here.
The incident happened on Sunday evening when the 16-year-old girl was gang-raped by two of her neighbours when she was returning home from a coaching class.
Meanwhile, seven locals were today arrested on charges of vandalism in protest of the gang-rape, he said.
