2 attempt immolation near CM's residence, held

Two persons today tried to immolate themselves near the residence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav here and were detained.
Chanting slogans, nearly 30-40 people, demanding arrest of some persons in connection with a murder in Ambedkarnagar, assembled at Rajiv Chowk near the Chief Minister's residence, Circle Officer Dinesh Kumar said.
As they tried to force their way to the CM's house, two persons, identified as Kamlesh Tiwari and Mohit Mishra, attempted to immolate themselves.
The CO said they were caught by police and detained for questioning.
"A case has been lodged against the duo," he said.
