2 Bakarwala gang members arrested
Press Trust of India New Delhi Police have arrested two suspected members of the Manoj Bakarwala gang, who were allegedly involved in several cases of carjacking in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab.
The two accused -- Sandeep Kumar (29) and Praveen Kumar (27) - were arrested yesterday by the team of Special Cell.
The police received specific information of the duo coming to Loknayak Puram, Mundka, in a stolen white i-20 car.
A team was constituted and the duo arrested. A sophisticated semi-automatic and a country-made pistol along with seven live cartridges were seized from them, said Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).
The i-20 car was found stolen from west Delhi's Vikaspuri on May 31, he added.
