Two persons have been booked for maligning the head of the Namdhari sect, police said today.
A case has been registered over a complaint by Kuka Martyrs' Memorial Vice-Chairman Surinder Singh Namdhari against two leaders of Ludhiana-based International Namdhari Sangat, Bachitter Singh and Navtej Singh, police said here.
Although no arrests have been made as yet, an inquiry conducted by the DIG of Punjab Police's Cyber Crime cell found fake IDs being misused on social networking sites to tamper with images of Namdhari sect Chief Satguru Udey Singh and Mata Chand Kaur (wife of the late Satguru Jagjit Singh).
