2 booked for rape attempt in UP

One person has been booked for allegedly attempting to rape a woman in Luhari Gali village here, police said today.
In a complaint lodged by the woman at Rajakarampur station yesterday, she had gone to a field to answer the nature's call when Sabir caught hold of her and attempted to rape her.
Upon resisting, the accused threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident, police said.
Station officer of Rajakarampur kotwali said that police are investigating the matter but the accused has not been arrested yet.
In another incident, one person allegedly tried to rape his daughter-in-law in Shahapur village here, police said.

The incident took place on the night of July 28 when Anar Singh attempted to rape the woman. As she screamed, neighbours rushed to the house while the accused managed to escape.
Anar allegedly beat up the woman yesterday, police said, adding, an FIR has been lodged in this connection.
Station officer of Nidholikalan kotwali said that a probe has been launched and efforts are on to nab the accused.
