In a complaint lodged by the woman at Rajakarampur station yesterday, she had gone to a field to answer the nature's call when Sabir caught hold of her and attempted to rape her.
Upon resisting, the accused threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident, police said.
Station officer of Rajakarampur kotwali said that police are investigating the matter but the accused has not been arrested yet.
In another incident, one person allegedly tried to rape his daughter-in-law in Shahapur village here, police said.
Anar allegedly beat up the woman yesterday, police said, adding, an FIR has been lodged in this connection.
Station officer of Nidholikalan kotwali said that a probe has been launched and efforts are on to nab the accused.
