"Following a tip-off that two children, a 12-year-old girl and her two-year-old brother, have been forced into begging at Ghaziabad Railway Station, we launched search operations," a police officer said.
During the course of investigation, it was learnt that the children had been confined at a jhuggi in Bhoor Bharat Nagar near Vijay Nagar of Uttar Pradesh, additional deputy commissioner of police (North-East) Rajendra Singh Sagar said.
During interrogation, they revealed that Kesho Ram had kidnapped the children from Sonia Vihar area of Delhi.
Sagar said further investigations into the case were in progress.
