2 held for robbery, chain-snatching

Two persons have been arrested here who allegedly were behind 11 cases of chain-snatching and robbery in the national capital.
According to police, the accused, identified as Hunny Singh alias Hitesh (27) and his accomplice Rohit Kumar alias Rahul (27), were nabbed from near Jagat Cinema in the Jama Masjid area here following a tip-off.
Three golden chains, a golden ring, a golden locket, two bangles, a motorcycle and a scooter were recovered from the duo, added police.
Police claimed that the accused are history-sheeters who have several cases registered against them in various police stations of Delhi.
Hitesh and Rahul, both school dropouts, have been arrested in the past by Delhi Police for robbing and chain snatching. While Hitesh was externed for two years to out of city limits, Rahul was arrested in a murder case in 2009, police said.
