2 held with 60 Kg of poppy in Jammu

Two persons were today arrested for allegedly possessing 60 kg of poppy, police said.
During a surprise checking by Inspector Paramjit Singh at BC Road in Jammu city, two persons were intercepted and checked thoroughly, a police official said.
60 Kg Poppy kept in the bedding carry bags were recovered from their possession, he said.
The accused, who were identified as Shera and Sewa Singh, originally hail from Punjab.
The duos had brought the said consignment from Srinagar and were taking it to their native villages for selling, officer said.
In this regard a case stands registered and investigation is going on, officer said.
