Acting on a tip off, a police team intercepted Koshal Soni and Kush Khateek on Julmi road here, Superintendent of Police Kota (Rural) Rajiv Pachar said.
On searching them, seven country-made pistols, 15 mobile phones and two motorcycles were found in their possession, he said.
In the initial interrogation the two accused confessed to have committed several loots, chain and mobile phone snatching in recent past. They were allegedly involved in 16 separate cases.
The duo told police that they purchased the country-made pistols from Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district through one Shivraj Choudhary and were going to sell to some people in Suket town, Pachar said.
Further investigation is underway in the matter and a manhunt has been launched to nab the duo's accomplices, the SP said.
