2 killed, 10 injured in accident

: Two persons were killed and 10 injured when the van they were travelling capsized and fell into a deep pit at the Thimbam Ghat road.
The van driver was among those killed.
Police said the mishap occurred on the 24th hairpin bend when the driver tried to negotiate a curve.
The 27 occupants of the van were returning to madurai from Mysore, they said.
The injured have been hospitalised.
