Two people of a family were killed and two others injured when a portion of their house collapsed in Kairana town of Shamli district today, officials said.
The deceased were identified as Nazma (45) and her son Mursaleem (13), said Subdivisional Magistrate Surjit Singh.
Meanwhile, District Magistrate Inder Vikram Singh has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of those killed in the incident.
