2 killed, 25 hospitalised due to chlorine leak in China

Two persons were killed and 25 others hospitalised today after a chlorine leak in China's north Hebei province.
The accident happened at Lixing rubber plant near Sunguozhuang village of Hejian city, less than 200 kilometre from here, poisoning residents of the village and those nearby, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Five seriously injured persons were being treated in intensive care units, according to the city government.
The source of the leak has been blocked.
Chlorine is used in rubber production in the plant.
