The six persons were returning to Gajuwaka after attending a festival of a local deity at Ramagiri area in the district, the officer said.
The car's driver lost control of the vehicle, which in turn hit a buffalo. The vehicle then hit a divider and rammed the tree, Seshu added.
The deceased were identified as P Appalaraju (25) and U Datteswara Rao (20). The injured have been admitted to a hospital here and the condition of two of them is stated to be critical, said the officer.
