District Disaster Management Officer of Chamoli, Nand Kishor Joshi, said that the car veered off the road and fell into the Pindar river.
Three persons were in the car and two of them were pulled out dead from the river while the driver of the car was missing, police said.
40-year-old Chandramani and Vimla Devi (35) died in the accident and Harish Nainwal, the driver, was missing.
