2 killed as septic tank explodes in Agra

Two persons were killed and another was injured when the septic tank of a public toilet exploded at a bus stand under Rakabganj police station area here, police said.
The incident occurred in the morning when the septic tank of a toilet at the Idgah bus stand exploded due to excessive gas pressure inside it, police said.
An eyewitness told police that those sitting on the toilet seats fell in the sludge, they said.
One of the victim was identified as Deendayal, a resident of New Delhi, they said, adding the efforts were on to identify the other deceased and the injured.

"Rescue work is on and the matter is being investigated," SP (City) Samir Saurabh said.
