Two persons were killed and nine others injured when a truck rammed into a reserve bus at Beliatore area of Bankura district today, police said.
The accident took place when the bus coming from temple town of Tarapith in Birbhum district stopped by the road side near Markha more.
The pipe laden truck hit the bus from behind there injuring 11 persons.
Two of them died in hospital, police said adding that others were admitted at the Bankura Medical College and Hospital.
Rest of the passengers of the bus were taken to Bankura railway station from where they would take a train Kharagpur.
The reserve bus was supposed to take them to Kharagpur, police said.
