Two persons were killed and an equal number injured when a speeding truck rammed against another on Yamuna Expressway near here early today, the police said.
The vehicle was coming from the Agra side and proceeding towards Noida when it rammed into another truck, a police official said.
"The impact was so massive that all the four persons travelling on the truck were virtually sandwiched and could be extricated after cutting the vehicle by using plasma cutters," the official said.
Two persons died on the spot, while the injured duo were rushed to the district hospital, and then to Sarojini Naidu medical college in Agra, he added.
The deceased have been identified as Salem (32) and Pappu (28), both residents of Badaun district, the official said, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
