At least two people were killed and eight others injured tonight in an attack on a political party's office in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi.
Unknown assailants targeted the office of the secular Awami National Party (ANP) in Gulshan Buner area of the city.
Amanullah Mehsud, a party spokesman, said at first the attackers fired guns and then hurled hand grenades at the office, leaving two people dead and eight injured.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack but the Taliban have frequently targeted ANP and killed several party workers before the country's May 11 polls.
