state-run steel plant employee, were killed in separate incidents in the district today, police said.
In the first incident, one Samir Ranjan Rath (35) of Baransh village died on spot after being hit by a truck at Barabati on National Highway 5.
Rath was returning on his bi-cycle from a market.
In another incident, a worker of the public sector Neelachal Ispat Nigam limited, located in Kalinga Nagar industrial complex area, was killed when his jeep collided head-on with a truck near Mirigchara village in the district.
The deceased has been identified as Rajeshram Sahu (30) of Mruganayani village under Chandabali block in Bhadrak district.
Sahu was on his way to his native place after hearing that his wife was admitted at the hospital.
