2 men suffocate to death while desilting well

In a freak incident, a 55-year old man and his son-in-law suffocated to death in a well while desilting it at Karansalai Thottam in the district today, police said.
Govindaraj and his son-in-law 30-year old Panjavarnam suffered suffocation after they poured petrol on the side wall of the well to kill insects, they said.
Their bodies were retrieved by Fire and Rescue Service personnel, police said adding further investigation was on.
