"Acting on a tip-off, excise inspector Upinder Singh along with his team members last night intercepted a vehicle without registration plates near Shashi Chowk.
"A search of the vehicle yielded 10 cartons of smuggled foreign liquor. The said car was even sporting a police logo," District Excise Officer Kuldeep Yadav said today.
The arrested duo would use the police logo on their car to dodge excise and law enforcement teams, Yadava said.
"The arrested duo were identified as Sumit and Sanjeev, both residents of Faridabad. An FIR has been lodged at the Sector 39 police station in connection with the arrest," added Yadav.
