Liberation Front of India (PLFI) ultras including a sub-zonal commander of Eastern region were arrested from two different places in naxal-affected Khunti district, police today said.
Jitendra Patar Munda alias Jitan Munda alias Prasantji, a sub-zonal commander of PLFI and Lalit Sahu were arrested by the security personnel last night, Superintendent of Police, Anis Gupta told reporters.
While Munda was arrested from near Tajna river on Khunti-Taimara Road under Khunti police station area, Sahu was nabbed from Jilingburu Jungle under Tupkara police outpost, he said.
One country-made pistol, two live cartridges of .315 bore and four mobile phones were seized from Munda whereas a lapton, motorcycle, PLFI letter pad, 18 live cartridges of 9mm bore, four cartridges of 7.65 mm bore and 20 cartridges of 12mm bore was recovered from Sahu, Gupta added.
