According to police, assailants came to a shop in the Putlighar market this evening and demanded money at gun point. After being refused, they fired gunshots at Ankush (23), the owner of the shop, who was married just three days back, they said, adding that Ankush was declared brought dead in a nearby hospital.
When assailants were fleeing after killing the shopkeeper, they met an accident with a rickshaw puller to whom they also killed, said police.
Panic gripped the entire area after the incident and heavy police force reached on the spot, but assailants fled away, they said.
