13-year-old Rohit and his cousin Ajay (18), who work as waiters, were going back to their residence in JJ Colony in Wajirpur from a marriage hall at Bharat Nagar around 3.30 am when they were attacked, police said, adding that they were accompanied by their friend Netra Pal.
The youths were walking through a dark stretch of road when they were suddenly intercepted by three unidentified persons who were armed with knives, police said.
"Ajay was stabbed in the cheek while Rohit received a gash in the head. Netra Pal managed to flee," a police official said, adding, the robbers snatched their Chinese-manufactured mobile phones and Rs 40 cash.
The victims later called the police and were taken to a nearby hospital by a PCR car, the official said, adding that a case has been registered.
