He had taken possession of the bullets from the house of one Joseph Antony from Irinjalakuda, where he had stayed about 10 days one-and-a-half months ago,when the residence was vacant, police said.
Joseph, a retired flight lieutenant from the Air Force, is now staying in Bangalore.
Jayanandan, who was produced before the Magistrate yesterday, has been remanded in police custody for interrogation and collecting further evidence, police said.
Hailing from Mala in Thrissur district, he was awarded capital punishment by the trial court for brutal murders, which was later commuted to life by the Kerala High Court. He committed the murders during robbery attempts.
