200 kg Ganja seized in Rameswaram, one held

Nearly 200kg of ganja, meant to be smuggled to Sri Lanka was today seized from a car at Sundaramudayan near here and one person arrested in this connection, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police intercepted the car transporting the ganja worth Rs 1 crore in the international market and arrested Siddiq Ali of Thondi in Ramanathapuram district, they said.
The car has also been impounded, they added.
