200 taken ill after consuming contaminated food

As many as 200 people were taken ill after consuming food at a family function of a villager at Kadreiyan in Odisha's Balasore district today, official sources said.
The villagers complained of vomiting and loose motion after taking food at the house of a villager in Basta police station area, they said.
According to doctors of Basta hospital where 107 people were provided medical treatment, the villagers fell ill due to contamination.
A team of doctors from the district headquarter hospital visited the village and attended affected people who were stated to be stable.
