Katiyar, recently promoted in the rank of Inspector General of Police (IG) and at present posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Magadh range at Gaya has been transferred and posted as the IG (Special Vigilance Unit) at Patna, according to a notification issued by the home department.
He will additionally hold the charge as IG(Security), Special Branch, the notification said.
Another newly promoted IG Awadesh Kumar Sharma, at present posted as the DIG, Armed Police, North Division, has been transferred and made the IG (Modernization) at Patna.
Umashankar Sudhanshu, who too has been promoted in the IG range, has been transferred from Darbhanga where he was serving as the DIG, Darbhanga Range, and made the IG at State Human Rights Commission.
Munger district's Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Kumar Sinha, who has been promoted in the DIG rank recently, has been made the DIG, Eastern Range at Bhagalpur and will additionally hold the charge as the DIG of Munger Range.
Chandrika Prasad, posted as the Assistant of the DGP, has been transferred to Saharsa as the DIG, Koshi Range following his promotion in the DIG rank recently.
Chhatraneel Singh, the Commandant of Bihar Military
Police (BMP) -10 at Patna has been given additional charge as the Commandant of BMP-14, while Sunil Kumar, the SP (Vigilance Investigation Bureau) has been transferred and made the Commandant of BMP-16 at Patna.
Nawal Kishore Singh, the SP (Special Duty, CID) at Patna has been transferred and made the SP, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, while Vikash Kumar, the Commandant of Special Security Wing at Patna has been shifted to Madhepura as the SP.
Ashwani Kumar, the BMP-14 Commandant, has been made the SP, Saharsa, while Vivekanand, the Nalanda SP has been transferred to the Police Headquarters at the state capital and put in the wait list for posting.
Deepak Ranjan, the Commandant of BMP-16 has been transferred and made the SP (Vigilance Investigation Bureau), while Kumar Ashish, the SP, Madhepura has been posted in the same capacity at Nalanda district.
