22 primary health centres upgraded in KMC area

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has upgraded its 22 primary health centres to multiple disease treatments aimed at easing the stress on government-run hospitals.
MIC Atin Ghosh said the facilities will be formally opened for the public by Mayor Sovan Chatterjeeon Monday next.
The KMC will in future raise the number of such clinics to 30.
To another question, Ghosh said the number of dengue cases came down in the city this year.
While last year 350 such cases were detected, the number went down to 58 this year, he said.
