A three-day cycle expedition to the India-Pakistan border in Punjab's Hussainiwala was flagged off on Thursday at the Bhisiana Air Force Station in Bathinda.
The event is part of the 87th Air Force Day celebrations with 'Swachh Bharat' as the underlying theme, so as to motivate the youth to keep their surroundings clean, an official statement said.
The expedition is headed by Wing Commander S K Behera and comprise 19 Air Force men.
The expedition, after covering a distance of 224 km, is expected to reach the border in Ferozepur district on Saturday evening.
"The team will also publicise the importance of a 'go green' initiative by distributing pamphlets on the necessity of keeping our natural habitat safe for the future generations," the statement said.
