23 govt teachers suspended during inspection in Srinagar

The Jammu government today suspended 23 teachers here for their abysmal achievements, an official said.

The step was taken by Director School Education Kashmir G N Itoo during a surprise inspection of government schools here.

"Itoo has suspended the entire teaching staff of Government High School Rangtaing, Middle School Aalikadal and Middle school Rehbaab Sahib for their abysmal achievements in these schools," an official statement said.

Itoo interacted with the students in these schools and enquired about the teaching and learning process.

The Director also sought an explanation from the Zonal Education Officer Zaldagar for non-compliance of instructions regarding academic monitoring of schools falling in her zone.

"There will be no compromise in quality of education and any teacher found neglecting duties shall face action under rules," Itoo said.
