"In the current year from January 1 till March 18, 6,625 samples have been tested, out of which 2,108 are found to be positive. The number of deaths because of swine flu and other complications is 74 as on date," as per the state government bulletin.
It said that 25 samples out of 113 samples sent for testing yesterday have tested positive for the H1N1 virus.
The Telangana government has advised citizens to take precautions such as reporting to hospitals on appearance of early symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pain.
Sufficient stock of medicines and testing kits are available at different hospitals in the state, it said.
