The accused was last night arrested from Ludhiana by a police team of south district in connection with a rape case registered in March this year, said a police official.
The complainant had told police that the accused allegedly developed an intimate relationship with her on the pretext of marriage and that the two had started living together in 2012, said an official.
An FIR was registered based on the woman's complaint and the investigation was taken up immediately, leading to the arrest, police added.
