National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship that promotes skill development in India.
The four-day WorldSkills competition is starting from October 15. It is the 44th edition of the 'Olympics for Skills'.
NSDC, through its WorldSkills India initiative, has been leading the country's participation at WorldSkills International competitions since 2011.
While Hair dresser from Chennai A Karan has won IndiaSkills competitions, Omkar Virendra Savant (21) is a trainee welder working with the Mahindra Ltd.
Similarly, Vibhor is a robotics enthusiast who is currently studying in final year of engineering from the MIT Academy of Engineering in Pune.
