286 pilgrims leave for Amarnath from Jammu

A batch of 347 devotees today left the Jammu base camp for the cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir.
A convoy of 10 vehicles, carrying the 34th batch of 286 devotees, left the Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar at around 4:50 AM to pay obeisance at the cave shrine in the Kashmir Valley, police said.
The batch includes 166 men, 47 women and a child, apart from 72 sadhus, was on its way to twin base camps of Pahalagam and Baltal in the Valley, they added.
With today's batch, a total of 50,257 pilgrims have left the Jammu base camp for Amarnath so far.
Over 3.32 lakh pilgrims have performed obeisance at the cave shrine of Amarnath so far.
