"We have been receiving complaints from students and their guardians of getting phone calls from unknown persons demanding money to increase their marks in the board examinations," a release issued by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) office said.
A special team was then constituted by Patna SSP Manu Maharaj that arrested three persons from Rahincha village in Sheikhpura district in connection with the incident, the release said, adding that two persons managed to escape from the spot.
The callers used to tell examinees and their guardians that their wards have scored poor marks in the board examinations and they could get good marks if a particular amount is deposited in their bank account.
