Acting on a tip-off, police laid a check-post at Shastri Nagar area of the Jammu city yesterday and intercepted a man roaming around suspiciously, they said.
The accused, identified as Inderpal Singh, was nabbed and five grams of heroin was seized from him as he tried to flee on being questioned, police said.
In another incident, one Mangal Singh Chib was arrested from Subash Nagar area of the city yesterday and three grams of heroin was recovered from him, they said.
While a case has been registered against Chander, Inderpal and Mangal have been booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, they added.
