The cows, belonging to Rambharosi, were tied near her house in a hut that caught fire after being struck by a lightning bolt yesterday, SHO Avadhesh Tripathi said.
Rambharosi's three neighbours- Umesh, Rakesh and Manoj also sutained burn injuries while trying to save the cattle.
After being informed by village head Manish Kumar Ojha, the tehsildar and other officials have submitted a report to sub-collector in this case.
