Rail Minister Suresh Prabu, MoS for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will tomorrow address the inaugural session of the summit organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Government of India.
Following the inaugural session tomorrow, Abdulmohsen Medij Al Medij- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait, Michael C Bimha- Minister of Industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe, Nikola Gruevski -Prime Minister of Macedonia with others will attend a plenary session on 'Defining Shared New Realities'.
The session will be addressed by the WTO Director General Roberto Azevedo, says an CII release.
Another session - "US and India: Co-Creating a Shared Future" will explore how the US can be a natural partner as India seeks to take its development process to the next level through Make in India initiative.
Andrew Robb- Minister for Trade and Investment, Australia, Y B Dato Sri Mustapa Mohamed - Minister of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia and Gao Yan- China's Vice Minister of Commerce will be among other panelists in a session on "Mega-Regional Trading Blocs: Implications for Emerging Economies".
The potential of the Modi government's initiative 'Make in India' to turn the country into a global manufacturing hub and to attract foreign investors will be discussed in another session on "Make-in India: Offering a New Partnership Opportunity to Industry," the release said.
A special plenary session titled "Resurgent Rajasthan" will also be held and will be addressed by the state Chief Minister.
The last day of the Summit on Saturday will witness sessions on "Financing for Growth and Development", "Growing Importance of Service Sector in Manufacturing Value Chains", and "Global Development Agenda Beyond 2015" will be held.
