: Nearly 50 vendors will exhibit their machining facilities for the benefit of outsourcing companies in the three-day JOBCON 2015, beginning here from September 25.
The JOBCON (Job Connectivity) will be a platform for companies, both in the public and private sectors, to discuss the technological requirement of the components, to get first hand information, M V Loganathan, President, Coimbatore SIDCO Industrial Estate Manufacturers Welfare Association (COSIEMA), told reporters here today.
Of the 70 stalls, 50 manufacturers will display their products and 20 companies from both private and public sectors will participate, he said.
The ongoing recessionary trend and subsequent crunch in the order position in MSME units, coupled with competitive edge faced by major outsourcing sectors in the country were some inducing factors to arrange for a common platform to connect buyers and sellers, Loganathan pointed out.
Stating that capacity of MSME sector was underutilised due to many reasons, he said this was the time for MSME sector to rise to the expectations of corporate giants, who were forced to face tough market conditions.
On the just concluded Global Investors Meet, Loganathan said igning of MoUs worth Rs 2.42 lakh crore has given hope among MSME in Coimbatore, which was expectinhg its due share of invetments from all sectors of Indian corporates as well as Foreign investors.
