Goa Law and Judiciary Minister Nilesh Cabral informed the Assembly that three fast-track courts would be set up in the state to try grievous crimes.

He said two of these courts would be set up in Panaji and the third in Mapusa.

"The proposal to set up fast track courts has been accepted by the High Court under the 14th Finance Commission," Cabral said.

He was replying to a query on fast-track courts by BJP MLA Nilkant Halarnkar.
