Three persons were injured when a dispute over payments took a violent turn, leading to one of them allegedly opening fire, police said today.
"There was an altercation between two groups over a payment dispute, leading to one person firing at the others in Narwal belt of the city yesterday," a police officer said.
Three persons -- Hardeep Singh (40), Amardeep Singh (38) and Harjeet Singh (45) -- suffered injuries and have been admitted to a hospital, the officer added.
A case has been registered and search is on for the accused, who is absconding.
