Three persons were killed and ten others injured when an iron railing gave way during a marriage ritual at a village in Garhwa district, police said on Thursday.

The ritual of 'dwar puja' was being performed after the marriage party arrived at the bride's house at Achala Nawadih village from neighbouring Palamau district when the railing fell on them killing three persons on the spot, police said.

The ceremony was being observed in a single-storey building when the railing of the staircase, leading to the terrace, snapped and fell on them.
