The accident occurred near Pounra village here late last nightwhen the vehicle was on its way from this town to Manthla, police said.
On hearing about the accident, the villagers rushed to the spot and took all the five passengers to Sub-District Hospital here, where doctors declared three of them, including the driver of the vehicle, as brought dead, they said.
The deceased have been identified asDes Raj, the forest gaurd, Om Kar and Vejinder Kumar, and the injured as Arun Kumar and Rakesh Kumar, they added.
