Naseeruddin (65), Ahsan (26) and Azeez were killed when the bus in which they travelling fell into a pit near Hardoi this morning, Additional Superintendent of Police Subhash Chandra Shakya said.
He said that the incident took place when the bus carrying pilgrims was returning from Ajmer and going towards Barabanki.
The ASP said that 45 people were injured in the accident and have been admitted to a hospital.
District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha said that a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each would be given to the kin of the victims from Chief Minister's discretionary fund.
