3 killed, 5 injured in train-jeep collision

Three people were killed and five others injured when the jeep they were travelling in rammed into a running passenger train at an unmanned railway crossing in Avadoot Ashram area here, a railway official said today.
The incident occurred at around 7.45 PM, when a Bolero jeep they were travelling in was hit by Bikaner-Delhi Sarai Rohilla train. The jeep's fuel tank caught fire due to the collision, he said.
The deceased were identified as Prathviraj Bhadu(45), Manglaram Goswami(30) and Balveer (32). Injured were rushed to a government hospital in Suratgarh, he added.
Following the collision, Bikaner-Suratgarh rail route was disrupted for about four hours, he said.
