The blast occurred outside an 'imambargah' at Imamia Colony in Peshawar this evening.
Police officials said the bomb, attached to a motorcycle parked in the area, was detonated by remote control.
Three persons were killed by the blast, officials said.
Footage on television showed the injured, including young boys and old men, being rushed into a nearby hospital.
Security forces cordoned off the site of the blast and prevented people from approaching the area.
The blast blew out the windows of several buildings and caused panic in the area.
No group claimed responsibility for the incident, the latest in a string of attacks targeting the minority Shia sect.
