More labourers are feared to be trapped. Attempts are made by the rescue team in the cover of darkness with help of emergency lamps, Tonk Superintendent of Police Deepka Kumar said.
The deceased were identified as Ratan Kumawat (22), Jeetram Kumawat (22) and Kailash Raigar (25), the Tonk Collector Tina Kumar said.
The seven rescued labourers were shifted to Malpura and Tonk hospitals, the SP said.
The roof-laying work was underway since morning, and the roof of the first floor of a school building started to tumble down in the evening trapping at least 10 labourers, they said.
