Three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants involved in the killing of a Station House Officer in Budgam district in Kashmir Valley have been arrested, police said today.
"Police have identified the militants involved in the killing of SHO Chadoora Shabir Ahmad on December two last year. Three of them have been arrested," a police spokesman said.
During investigations, it surfaced that a group of LeT militants operating in the area was involved in the killing of the police officer, he said.
The arrested ultras were indentified as Ashiq Hussain Bhat, Reyaz Ahmad Dar and Basharat Ahmad Mir, the spokesman said.
"Questioning of the arrested militants revealed four more persons were part of the conspiracy," he said.
The arrested ultras were also involved in several criminal acts like extortion and murder, the spokesman said.
